Our AML and Verification Policy

We launched in 2022 under a Curaçao eGaming licence, and every account on our platform operates within a strict anti-money-laundering (AML) and identity-verification framework. This page explains exactly what we check, when we check it and what we need from you.

Our AML Commitment

We treat anti-money-laundering compliance as a core part of running Slotsmuse Casino, not a paperwork exercise. Under licence OGL/2022/934/1087 issued by Curaçao eGaming, we apply a risk-based approach to every player relationship, screening new registrations against sanctions and politically-exposed-person (PEP) lists and reviewing existing accounts on a recurring cycle.

Our obligations include customer due diligence, ongoing transaction monitoring, suspicious-activity reporting to the relevant authority, and staff training on typologies such as smurfing, layering through bonus abuse and third-party wallet funding. If we identify activity we cannot reasonably explain, we are required to escalate it, and in some cases we are legally prohibited from telling you that a report has been filed.

  • Customer due diligence at registration and before first withdrawal
  • Sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening
  • Ongoing monitoring of deposits, withdrawals and betting patterns
  • Internal escalation and regulatory reporting where required

When We Verify Your Identity

Verification is not a single event. We verify your identity at registration through electronic database checks, we verify fully before your first withdrawal, and we re-verify whenever your transaction volume, behaviour or account changes suggest a higher risk. We may also request updated documents at any time if your ID expires or your payment details change.

  • Photo ID: passport, driving licence or national identity card, valid and unexpired
  • Proof of address: a utility bill, bank statement or official letter dated within the last 3 months
  • Payment method: a photo of your debit card (first 6 and last 4 digits visible) or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your name
  • Selfie or liveness check in some cases, to confirm you are the person on the ID
  • Source of funds evidence where deposit levels require it (see below)

Step by Step Verification

Submitting documents takes most players under ten minutes. Upload everything through the verification area of your account rather than by email, so that files go straight into our encrypted document store and are never handled by general support staff.

The five steps

  • 1. Open the verification section of your account and select the document type.
  • 2. Photograph or scan the document so all four corners, your name, date of birth and expiry date are legible.
  • 3. Upload the file (JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 10 MB per document).
  • 4. Our compliance team reviews the submission, typically within 48 hours.
  • 5. You receive confirmation by email and your account status updates in your profile.

How your documents are protected

Uploaded files are transmitted over TLS encryption, stored on access-controlled servers in the European Economic Area and visible only to trained compliance staff. We mask payment card numbers, we never share your documents with third parties except where the law requires it, and we delete data in line with our retention schedule below.

Why We Ask for Source of Funds

If your deposits exceed levels we consider consistent with your recorded profile, or if a single deposit is unusually large, we must establish where the money comes from. This is a legal obligation, not an accusation. Acceptable evidence includes payslips, employment contracts, tax returns, audited company accounts or documents showing the sale of an asset.

We ask because gambling with funds that are not lawfully yours, or attempting to place money of criminal origin into play, is a laundering typology our licence obliges us to detect. The faster you respond, the faster we lift any temporary deposit or withdrawal hold placed on your account while the review is open.

How We Monitor Transactions

Every deposit and withdrawal passes automated and manual review. Our systems flag structuring (many small deposits just under thresholds), rapid deposit-then-withdraw cycles with minimal play, funding from accounts in third-party names, and deposits from sources inconsistent with your profile.

Withdrawal rules and limits

We return funds by the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible, to a verified account held in your own name. Where the deposit method cannot accept withdrawals, we pay to a verified alternative. Withdrawals are capped at £4,500 per day and £18,000 per month, with processing times of 0-24 hours for crypto and e-wallets, 1-3 business days for cards and 3-5 business days for bank transfers.

MethodTypical processingMinimum withdrawal
Crypto / e-wallets0-24 hours£20
Visa / Mastercard Debit1-3 business days£20
Bank transfer3-5 business days£20

If Verification Fails

Missing or unreadable documents, an expired ID, a payment account in someone else's name or refusal to provide source-of-funds evidence all lead to the same consequence: withdrawals are suspended and the account may be blocked. We always tell you which document failed and why, and you can resubmit corrected files at any time.

  • Withdrawals and bonus redemptions are placed on hold until verification completes
  • Repeated invalid submissions can result in permanent account closure
  • Suspected fraud or third-party play may lead to confiscation of winnings and forfeiture of balances, in line with our terms
  • Serious cases are reported to the licensing authority and, where required, to law enforcement

Your right to appeal

If you disagree with a verification decision, contact our compliance team at [email protected] with the subject line Verification Appeal. A reviewer who was not involved in the original decision re-examines the case and responds within 10 business days.

How Long We Keep Records

We retain verification documents and transaction records for five years after your account closes, as required under our licence conditions and applicable data-protection law. Retention protects both sides: it evidences that we verified you correctly and lets us respond to regulatory or law-enforcement requests that can arrive years after the fact.

Once the retention period expires, documents are securely and irreversibly deleted. You can request a copy of the data we hold about you at any time by writing to [email protected].

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to verify before I can deposit?

No. You can deposit and play after registration, but we complete full verification before your first withdrawal and we may request documents earlier if risk indicators appear.

Why was my withdrawal held for extra checks?

Withdrawals above your usual levels, a new payment method, or activity that our monitoring flags can trigger additional review. We release funds as soon as the checks complete, usually within 48 hours.

Can I withdraw to a different card or wallet?

We pay withdrawals back to a verified method in your own name, using the same method you deposited with wherever possible. Third-party accounts are never accepted.

What if I cannot provide source-of-funds evidence?

Without it we cannot lift a source-of-funds review, which means withdrawals stay on hold. If you genuinely cannot obtain a document, contact our compliance team and we will discuss what alternatives are acceptable.

How do you store my ID documents?

Files are encrypted in transit and at rest, stored on access-controlled servers and visible only to trained compliance staff. We keep them for five years after account closure, then delete them permanently.
